Contest Information: Since some members like competition, we thought having these 4 contests would be fun. Anyone attending the show can enter no matter where they are from as long as they are WOCP Club Member in good standing. World Wide members are not eligible for competition. You will pay a $5.00 entry fee, entering your piece(s) in the contest(s) of your choice based on theme. The contests are: “Life along a Winding River” “Life in the Flower Garden” “Life in the Forest” “Life outside the Box” You may enter one piece in each category, you decide what category your piece best fits. Work must have been completed within the past two years and not have been entered in competition before. Pieces will be judged on a point system, and the winner of each contest will receive 50% of the entry fee for that contest as the prize. The idea is to be original, be creative, paint what you love and start painting now. Won’t it be wonderful to see all this beautiful work! Club Table display: Each state will have a group of club display tables. Your state President or Show chairs have been in contact with your club President who has indicated if your club will be having a display, so contact your club president. These tables will be display only, so your club can put painted name tags on the table. The show will provide your club name sign. Museum Competition: Each state will have a museum competition. All WOCP members in good standing are eligible to vote in each state’s competition. Each state will send its’ own winning pieces to the Museum in Oklahoma. Youth/Jr. competition: We will have a table for our young painters to display their work. This will not be judged (no need to discourage anyone) and all states will display together. Each participant will receive acknowledgment of their participation. World Wide Members: World Wide members are not eligible for competition but there will be tables set up to display their work. Rynne Freight Free orders: Rynne is proud and excited to be participating in our new show format. They will be taking pre-orders and bringing them to the show freight free. You will receive a sales flyer #46 from Rynne in February or see their web site at www.Rynnechina.com. Please place your orders before May 10, 2010 for show delivery by contacting Rynne at 1-800-468-1987, info@rynnechina.com or on their web site. Volunteer Opportunities: As always with a show, there are lots of volunteers needed for registration, vendor booth relief, at the demo doors, etc. If you are interested in helping, even if it’s just for a couple hours please contact your state president and she will coordinate with the other states. If you have any show questions that have not been covered, please contact your state President |
