| Silent Auction The pictured book is one of two items to be included in a silent auction to be held at our 2012 convention. It was originally purchased in Berlin, Germany around 1911. The author is Catherine Klien. Coincidentally, it was featured in The China Painter with the same writing on the cover save for the owner’s name; the same corner was torn off. The issue it was featured in was Jan/Feb., 2011, page 31. This book was donated by Creston, Iowa, painter, Ann Moore. The second silent auction piece is a lovely portrait by former Iowa teacher, Onalee Crocker. It is of a dear child on a round plaque measuring approximately four inches across. Onalee Crocker currently lives in Franklin, Tennessee; she has lived in Iowa and was born here. Onalee is know for her wonderful portraits. She has taught all over the United States and abroad. She is a master teacher. She is no longer painting making this wonderful donation for the silent auction even more special. |
